Know before you go
- Rare renosterveld with spring flowers, 100-plus bird species and the best cross-Cape view in the northern suburbs.
- Trails range from a 380 m toddler loop to a full end-to-end traverse — mix and match.
- Gates close in the late afternoon — check the board at entry.
If you need help
A fenced city reserve with marked paths — callouts are rare and minor. Heat on the open renosterveld slopes is the only real hazard.
Emergency exit
All paths lead back to a boundary fence or the Kristo Pienaar centre at the Welgemoed gate within about 1 km.
