Know before you go
- A short, sharp climb — popular at sunrise for views over Hout Bay, Constantiaberg and Orangekloof.
- Dogs on leash are welcome — one of the few summit walks where they're permitted.
- Park inside the main Constantia Nek parking, not on the road verge.
If you need help
Short enough that hikers treat it casually — most incidents are slips on the loose upper path and sunrise hikers descending in the dark without headlamps.
Emergency exit
Return the way you came — the jeep track below the summit path is wide and walkable in low light.
Cell reception
Good for most of the route.
Start point

Year-round. The open summit cops the south-easter — pick a still morning.
