Cecilia Waterfall via Cecilia Forest
Mugging incidents have been recorded in Cecilia Forest, particularly on quiet weekday mornings. Do not hike alone. A recent trend of robberies on runners and hikers in this area has been reported.
Know before you go
A beautiful shaded walk through pine and eucalyptus forest to a waterfall on the slopes above Constantia. The waterfall is most impressive in late winter (July–September) when rainfall is highest. A popular route for trail runners — the jeep track is wide and well-maintained. Go with others.
Rescue history
Crime rather than trail injury is the primary safety concern here. Hike in groups of at least two, and avoid early morning solo visits to this forest.
Good for most of the route. Drops in the upper forest sections.
Return to Rhodes Drive via the Cecilia Forest jeep track at any point.
