Informational only
Walk Awêh is a safety aid, not a safety guarantee. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo and is advisory. Go/no-go verdicts are based on automated thresholds — they do not account for your fitness level, experience, equipment, or real-time changes on the mountain. Always exercise your own judgement. If in doubt, turn back.
Emergency numbers
Emergency contact details are verified periodically but may change. Always confirm critical numbers through official sources before you rely on them. In a mountain emergency, call Wilderness Search and Rescue on 021 937 0300 or dial 112.
Trail information
Trail conditions, distances, and difficulty ratings are reviewed periodically but may not reflect current closures, erosion, or seasonal changes. Check with CapeNature and SANParks for up-to-date closure information before heading out.
Guides
Walk Awêh does not currently publish guide listings or take bookings. If reviewed listings are introduced later, Walk Awêh will not be a party to arrangements made directly between a hiker and a guide, and these terms will be updated before that feature launches.
Limitation of liability
Walk Awêh is provided as-is with no warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of this application.
