Privacy

What we store

• Checklists — saved to your device only, keyed to the current date. Each day starts with a fresh checklist; the previous day's entry stays in storage but is never loaded again. Never sent anywhere.
• Weather cache — the last Open-Meteo response is cached in your browser for up to 3 hours so the app works offline. It contains only weather data, not your location.
• Install prompt counters — a visit count and dismissal timestamp stored locally to decide when to show the install nudge. No identifiers.

What we do not do

• No analytics that identify you or track your movements
• No cookies — none at all
• No location access — weather is fetched for fixed mountain locations, not your GPS position
• No third-party trackers, ad networks, or fingerprinting scripts

Guide enquiries

When you tap WhatsApp or Email on a guide card, your device opens WhatsApp or your mail app directly. Walk Awêh does not see or log the message. The guide receives it through their own WhatsApp or email account.

Weather data

Weather is fetched directly from Open-Meteo (open-source, no API key required). Your browser contacts Open-Meteo directly. Walk Awêh does not proxy or log this request.
