About Walk Awêh

Walk Awêh is a safety-first hiking PWA for Cape Town. Safety-first hiking for Cape Town and surrounds. It gives hikers live mountain weather with a go/no-go verdict, detailed information on 40 trails in Table Mountain National Park and surrounds, emergency contacts for offline use, a pre-hike pack checklist, and a turn-around calculator to beat the sunset.

The app is free and installs without an app store. Its core emergency, first-aid, rescue, water, checklist, and calculator pages are saved for offline use. It launched in 2026 and is built and maintained by a small team in Cape Town.
